These photography portrait collages are mixed media art on a wooden box tops. They are bright, lively, and a great keepsake for anyone. Camilla uses photographs, clippings from vintage books, magazines and other found objects to create these one of a kind art pieces. Each canvas is painted with acrylic paint, sometimes she layers tissue paper over the paint. All art supplies that are used are acid free and archival. The Land of Cause
I had a great time painting with Beth Inglish at redpepper's event "The Land of Cause!" I think it is awesome how redpepper, which is a Nashville/Atlanta marketing agency, donates their services to nonprofit organizations. I'm glad that I got to be a part of such a worthy cause.
Here's what redpepper has to say about themselves - which I think is really inspiring!
It’s a magical, amazing place, this redpepperLand. A place where ideas are welcomed – the good, the bad, and the ugly.
redpepperLand is a place where everyone is constantly searching, reaching, striving for more.
A place where creativity is currency and always, always used to benefit.
A place where people come not because they have to, but because they want to.
Most importantly, redpepperLand is always changing. By choice.
And it all sprouted from a little Seed -- a thought about sharing the abundance of knowledge we have here at redpepper.
The idea behind our weekly email grew into a website full of content we are happy and proud to share with the world.
The photographs you see here were made by Sheri Oneal. My canvas was set up right next to her "photo booth" and I enjoyed watching her interact with the guest at the party. She was awesome at making everyone feel comfortable and I think her photos capture the great energy along with her words from her website:
life is full of seasons.
every conversation,
every word, every
letter and every
thought tells a story.
these bits and pieces
of life entice, incite,
compel and motivate
this is my season…
My piece was a collective painting that all the guest were invited to help create. I love how it turned out and I hope everyone there had as much fun as I did making it!

Still Life with a New Identiy
This is a piece I did a couple of years ago for my sister. The background is "vintage wall art" that belonged to her grandmother inlaw. I used photos of modern furniture and lighting on top of that! I love this - I forgot how much I love to make this type of collage. Look (click photo to make larger) in the lower right hand corner by the pear - there is a little lady running around in this magical world.
